AI and PD: The New Frontier in Treatment

Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) treatment, a life-saving therapy for individuals with end-stage renal disease, is witnessing a remarkable transformation with the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. AI is revolutionizing the field of PD by providing innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes, optimize treatment protocols, and streamline clinical decision-making. Over the next couple of weeks, I will explore the latest in the application of AI methodologies to Peritoneal Dialysis regimens. My goal is to provide a short introduction to a specific AI concept, such as Machine Learning Models and their role in predicting dialysis outcomes, followed by pertinent real-time examples of the employment of these concepts in evolving situations.
